Day 2 of the Disconnect to Reconnect event at YHS! Today, Student Board Member Pham led the Thunderbirds through a game of "Head, Shoulders, Knees, and Toes" while providing fun prompts, allowing the students to learn more about each other without using their cell phones. Another great day of showing how great we can all be without our devices!
Day 1 of the Disconnect to Reconnect event at YHS led by Student Board Member Pham! Ms. Pham organized the weeklong event to educate students about the negative effects of cell phone overuse and how disconnecting can truly help us reconnect.
What an incredible turnout for the Million Fathers March at Valley Elementary today! It was great to see so many father figures come and support our students. Whether you are a dad, older brother, uncle, grandfather, or guardian, you made a truly large impact in the lives of each Viking!
Our Superintendent, Cali Binks, officially received the Exemplary Women in Education Award today at the Association of California School Administrators (ACSA) Women in School Leadership Forum!
This prestigious state-level award honors women leaders who serve as powerful role models in education. Out of over 17,000 members, Superintendent Binks was one of only two recipients chosen for this incredible honor this year!
As Board President, Cathy Bogh shared, "Cali is an absolutely incredible superintendent, mentor, and individual. We are all so happy to see her recognized in a way that is truly deserved at the state level.”

Ms. Schmidt teaches English at Oak View High and Yucaipa Adult School, where her impact on students extends well beyond the subject of English. We are so lucky to have her!

Student Board Member Kim Pham spent time with students attending Jump Start at CECA today. She had a great time interacting with students from all levels hearing about their experiences and how much they are learning during the summer program.
