Career Technical Education Pathways
In Partnership with the Colton-Redlands-Yucaipa Regional Occupational Program (CRY-ROP)
Shaping Futures: Our Partnership with CRY-ROP
Welcome to the Yucaipa-Calimesa Joint Unified School District Career Technical Education (also known as vocational education) hub. In today’s world, preparing students for success means giving them more than just traditional classroom knowledge. It means giving them a head start on their careers.
Through our partnership with the Colton-Redlands-Yucaipa Regional Occupational Program (CRY-ROP), YCJUSD connects students directly with high-demand, high-growth industry sectors. Whether your student is planning to head straight to a four-year university, enroll in trade school, enlist in the military, or jump directly into the workforce, our CRY-ROP pathways offer the hands-on experience and industry-recognized certifications needed to thrive.
What is a CTE Pathway?
A Career Technical Education (CTE) Pathway is a sequence of two or more rigorous courses focused on a specific career sector. Rather than taking isolated electives, students follow a deliberate, multi-year track that builds real-world technical expertise, leadership capabilities, and academic depth.
Why Enroll in a CRY-ROP Pathway?
Hands-on Learning: Students swap lecture halls for auto shops, medical labs, and virtual corporate boards.
College & Career Ready: Many pathways offer opportunities to earn early college credits (articulation agreements) or professional certifications.
Work-Based Experience: Programs bridge the gap between school and the real world through mock interviews, industry expos, and community job-training partnerships.
Dedicated Support: CRY-ROP provides a dedicated Career Readiness Specialist right on campus to assist students with resumes, career exploration, and job search skills.
