Hello Calimesa Wildcats, Families and Community Members!

At Calimesa Elementary, we firmly believe that it is our mission to make a positive difference in the life of EVERY Wildcat. We are committed to providing a safe, supportive, and engaging environment where students can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

We continue to follow the PBIS (Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports) philosophy, which encourages our students to grow as respectful, responsible, and safe individuals. By reinforcing positive behavior, setting clear expectations, and providing consistent support, we help our students not only succeed but flourish in all aspects of their school life.

Calimesa incorporated a house system which fosters a sense of belonging, community, and school spirit by dividing students into smaller, mixed-age groups (houses). Each student and staff member belongs to one of four houses ~ Cheetahs, Cougars, Lions, or Tigers. Staff and students have opportunities to earn points for their house in many positive ways. This system promotes positive relationships, leadership opportunities, and healthy competition, contributing to a more engaging and supportive school environment. 

As we move into each school year, our expectations remain high: every student will leave our school more confident, with a positive mindset, and having made academic growth. These goals drive everything we do, from classroom instruction to social-emotional learning, ensuring that each student is equipped with the skills and mindset to succeed both in school and beyond.

I am so excited to work alongside our talented staff and dedicated families as we create an environment that fosters curiosity, resilience, and a love of learning. I encourage you to stay engaged, ask questions, and support your child’s journey as we build a year filled with meaningful achievements and wonderful memories.
